Today we have a quick descending rep-scheme couplet. Check in with how you're feeling if you tackled Murph yesterday and choose to hit this one hard or treat it more as active recovery.
Whatever your approach, scale as needed to finish this one in under 8 minutes, with advanced athletes potentially coming in under 5 minutes.
Choose a dumbbell load that allows for unbroken deadlifts through all rounds.
You should be able to complete the first set of box step-ups in under 3 minutes; scale the box height if needed to keep moving.
Though the dumbbell deadlifts are at a lighter load than you might usually deadlift, ensure you maintain a flat back through all reps.
We'll spend time in the warm-up working on speed and efficiency while maintaining sound mechanics and hitting full range of motion.
